It started with a simple idea: what if the campfire experience could go wherever you go? From the backyard to the backcountry, we wanted to make gathering around a fire safer, easier, and more respectful to the places we love.
Founded by John Chadwell, a builder and outdoor enthusiast, PacAPit was born from a desire to create something his grandsons could enjoy—something that encouraged real conversation, real moments, and real care for the environment. As the patent holder and hands-on creator, John designed PacAPit to honor the traditions of the campfire while bringing them into the modern world. Today, PacAPit is more than a fire pit—it’s a way to bring people together. We build every product with purpose: to spark connection, protect the outdoors through Leave No Trace principles, and prioritize fire safety no matter where your adventure takes you.
